
Rules and compliance with the stay
A standardized residence permit is required for all international visitors who intend to stay in the country beyond the period granted upon arrival. This applies to people who stay longer than allowed by regular entry exemptions or specific international mobility agreements.
This permit is generally granted for at least 4 months and can be extended up to 18 months. Any previously approved permit can be reviewed annually and renewed based on the visitor's status.
The request for extension must be submitted via the official portal, at the earliest 90 days and no later than 2 weeks before the current permit expires.
All documents relating to residence status must be submitted to specialized departments of administrative authorities.
