Residency Regulations and Compliance
A standardized residency authorization is required for all international visitors who plan to remain in the territory beyond the initial period granted upon arrival. This applies to those staying longer than the duration allowed by standard entry waivers or specific international mobility agreements.
This authorization is typically granted for a minimum of 4 months and can be extended up to eighteen months. Any previously approved permit is eligible for a yearly review and renewal based on the visitor’s status.
The renewal request must be processed through the official portal no sooner than 90 days and no later than 2 weeks before the current authorization reaches its end date.
- All documentation for residency status must be presented to the specialized departments of the administrative authorities.
Residency status can be requested based on several categories:
- Professional engagement and long-term employment

- Community service and volunteer initiatives
